You are correct. The only way to obtain new exotics is legend lost sectors or the legendary campaign. For swarmers they need to be unlocked by completing the campaign on legend then you can grind legend lost sectors for new rolls. Nah you can just get them from the lost sector. What are you talking about? You don’t think I know that. From reset on Wednesday up until reset yesterday there was only 3 strike force events. They normally occur every 2-4 hours. Last one happened 12 hours before reset, hence why I stated they throttled the chance of the event happening.
