Basically all the problems with these transmissions are valve body related and the poor machining and casting quality of the components resulting in leakage. The rest of the transmission is generally pretty stout, with no real concerns, to the best of my knowledge. I felt the transmission slip and now it is stuck in fourth gear. I have come to a stop And the truck will downshift from 4th to 1st gear. Then when I go again it will jump from 1st to 4th gear. Will not shift higher than fourth gear.
