EAGLE, Idaho (CBS2) — Roughly 1,600 sheep shut down part of Highway 55 in Eagle Thursday morning. The mama sheep are approaching the end of their long journey home to Wilder. "They've been on a major hike all spring, summer, fall, and so hundreds of miles," said Steve Stuebner, the spokesperson for the Idaho Rangeland Resource Commission.
The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) invites the public to an open house this month for two adjacent projects in Canyon County. Design plans will be shared for improvements to the Interstate 84, Karcher Interchange and several miles of State Highway 55 west of the interchange.The project will improve driving conditions and safety on this heavily traveled route. From July to late August, crews will work between Zachary Road in McCall and Goose Lake Road near Brundage. View the postcard for details.
