I've tried setting the dns to Google's, and setting it to get from ISP. Nothing works. At least nothing beyond the router works. I've power cycled, and rebooted in the router setup.

There is too much latency in the HughesNet system to allow two way communication with the cameras and the app on your phone. Also the Ring cameras use a lot of data since all motion activations are stored on the Internet.Regarding the functionality of the current desktop client, it will continue to work as long as it remains installed, but can't be reinstalled on another PC or the same one after re-imaging.
