If the fuel line keeps dripping out gas that means that the petcock is failing. The carb should keep it from overlowing. Which means that either the float is not set properly or the float needle valve went bad.1) Remove the throttle wheel cover from your FCR. 2) Work the O-Ring over the timing adjustment screw. 3) Pull the O-Ring over the black AP cam thusly. 4) Re-install the throttle wheel cover. Ok so my neighbor brought over his 2006 DRZ 400S ( i believe its an S) after it had been sitting for over a year. At first it wouldnt start so I replaced the air filter, removed the carb, cleaned everything with carb cleaner and compressed air ( 3 times) tried adjusting the fuel mixture screw to various positions I read on the forums.

1) Remove the throttle wheel cover from your FCR. 2) Work the O-Ring over the timing adjustment screw. 3) Pull the O-Ring over the black AP cam thusly. 4) Re-install the throttle wheel cover.
