Jun 14, 2011. #1. -I have 2005 Johnson 150 V6 outboard that stalls around 2000 RPM while in gear in the water. -It set up for about a year, then I ran it, it ran like crap. -I changed the plugs (they looked wet), pumped out the old gas, put it new gas with sea foam added and ran it for about 2 hours in the water. Again ran like crap. This is important in determining a suitable propeller pitch. When in doubt, dealer assistance is suggested. • Prop installation, inspection and boat operation all need to be done in a safe and responsible manner.
