I then sold them all my remaining cores as I don't have time to get into the transmission rebuilding business. Metric Mechanic also sells rebuilt transmissions. So then you might encounter the one-piece-metallic on late E30's then. I only have some theories why this actually happens (would like in the future to chop up a Getrag 260/5 and have a closer look).
