The Century Arms AP5 is a pistol as determined by the BATFE, and adding a stock would convert the firearm to a Short Barrel Rifle (SBR). Therefore, adding a stock to your Century Arms AP5 can only be done after obtaining proper approval from the ATF, as well as any applicable State or Federal Entity.

For those who have SBR their MKE MP5, for the ATF application for the Manufacturer would it be Century Arms Inc. since they imported it or MKE since MKE made it? Also for the where was it made I’m guessing Turkey since that’s where MKE is? And for the model is it just AP5 or MKE AP5 because stamped on the gun for the model it says MKE AP5 ...So Yes, it will affect the SP5, MP5 and all clones. The problem with the SP5 is that it is imported and the new rule states that you can no longer attack a brace or stock on a "Pistol" Caliber Carbine if most of the parts are not made in the United States.
