At least I know how to complain correctly if they mysteriously lose the replacement Steam Deck -- Hoping I hear something from Valve sooner than later. Its been about a week now. There might be some sort of serial number, but I don't see how it would be remotely read. The only number that would be unique to OP's individual Steam Deck is MAC address but those are a) not guaranteed to be unique b) easily changed.
