Thanks for posting on our community forums. Our boxes, as you know, have options for decoding and displaying the closed captions itself. However, the box does pass on the information to the TV along with the video feed. Some TVs have limitations on their closed caption and what input type it can decode the information over.Why is there no selection to have closed captions "OFF" as a default? Captions are unwanted and play automatically having to be shut off manually. There are only settings to change the color, size, font, etc. Does anyone have a way to permanently turn off these stupid CC???
