I was surprised how soft shooting they were compared to my Benelli Montefeltro Silver. They both know shotguns well, but said they could not resist because of the $210 price . After a thorough cleaning, when new , I run at least a couple boxes of regular 1 1/4 oz. hunting loads at around 1200 f.p.s. through a new semi-auto, intermixed with some hotter stuff, 1400-1500 f.p.s., and maybe a few 3" shells if it is chambered for them. Then a very good cleaning, and I call it "broken in".
